The Plot

“Three friends are hired to install internet in Minnesota's remote Arrowhead region. However the job quickly becomes much, much more than they bargained for. Follow Mia and her two oddball coworkers as they unravel the unusual happenings within the quaint town of Skillet.”

The Characters

⇒ Mia Garcia

Age: 27

The project manager for Blueband Internet Services, a Bemidji-based internet company. Mia organizes and spearheads various jobs they get hired for, though trying to direct her unruly coworkers can be likened to herding cats.

​

A Chicago transplant, she’s more used to city streets than the northern forests of Minnesota.

​

Sensible and pragmatic, she is the glue that holds this ratchet team together. The piece of gum you plugged into that rusty pipe to stop it from leaking. (Good lord the pressure is gonna cause it to explode someday, probably.)

⇒ Dave Boucher

Age: 34

Hunter that works as an I.T. guy at Blueband Internet Services. Computer nerd and survivalist freak. Petty hacker and cyber delinquent in his downtime.

​

Despite being considered an annoying BastardMan by the general public, he is fiercely loyal to his friends, Mia and Will. Useful to have on your side if you’re in a tight spot.

​

May or may not have been arrested for throwing a Pine Marten into a Wendy’s drive thru in 2008. Was briefly detained at the Wisconsin state border for disturbing the peace while carrying a duck on his head. Was released shortly thereafter. (Where is he now? God, he could be anywhere...)

⇒ Will Frederickson

Age: 28

A punk rocker from Bemidji, Minnesota. Kinda dense but has a heart of gold. Will works as a field technician for Blueband Internet Services, installing devices in remote (and often dangerous!) locations.

​

His job entails: Climbing telephone poles, old grain silos, trees or barns to install equipment. Accompanying his coworkers to fix outages or repair broken gear. As well as doing any grunt work that the company needs.

​

He plays bass in a local punk band called the Soggy Cornflakes. Rescuer of worms form the hot sidewalk, chronically broke.
